General Rules and Game Rules – Read everything before the game!
Two factions plus B-force:
Red Team: Goldmine Enterprise (UN flag)
Blue Team: Apex Technology (USA flag)
Ares Alpha App
Use the Ares Alpha app on your mobile devices to check in with your commander at your team’s base. Do this quickly. Get your phones ready with the scanner open in the app and scan the commander’s QR code to enter the game. IMPORTANT: This should be fast and smooth.
Base Areas
Each team has a main base marked with a colored circle in their team color in the app.
- Items are always placed at the main spawn and cannot be taken by the opposing team.
- Each team also has one secondary spawn point.
- Secondary spawn points have a respawn timer of 2 minutes. Count to 60 twice, then you can respawn. You can respawn up to four times at a secondary spawn before you must return to the main spawn or another spawn point.
Main and secondary spawn points are marked with black and yellow tape and are non-combat zones! NO CAMPING!
Extra Spawn Points
There are 2 extra spawn points on the field marked with red and white tape. These are indicated by purple circles in the app.
- Two players from the same team are required to respawn here.
- Once the second player arrives, there is an additional 120-second wait before you can respawn.
- Only one team may use an extra spawn point at a time.
Commander Spawn Locations
The commander receives three small flags in their team’s color shade (red for Red Team, blue for Blue Team) at the start of the game.
- The flags can be placed anywhere within the play area to create and build spawn points.
- Only the commander may place a flag into the ground.
- Once the flag is in place, the commander must also create a POI (Point of Interest) in the app so the entire team can see where the spawn point is — preferably marked as a flag POI for clarity.
The flag may not be placed inside, near, or directly connected to any fixed object or mission objective!
- The team can respawn at the flag, but only if more than one player is present — both alive and ”dead” players count.
⚠️ Enemy Warning: The opposing team can capture your flag! If they capture it, your spawn point disappears. Therefore, choose your spawn placement carefully.
- If the opposing team captures a flag, it must be returned to ARR, and they will receive points for it.
Ares Alpha Boxes
Certain Ares Alpha boxes spread across the field allow respawn. To use these, your team must control or have captured the area.
- Individual Ares Alpha boxes are marked with a green flag next to them, both in the app and physically on the field.
- Always double-check before using them, as ARR may move these boxes as needed.
Missions
Your commander will brief you on missions on-site. You can also read them in your main base (in English). We will demonstrate how some Ares boxes work.¨But you can see the ”main missions” futher down here.
Some missions are visible to both teams, some are not. You will receive additional missions during the game beyond those you start with.
Hit Rules
- First hit: Show hit marker, lay/sit down, and call for a medic. If a medic heals you with your personal bandage, you return to play.
- Second hit: Go to a spawn point.
Special Medic
Your team will have 1-3 special medics, identified with a RED CROSS on their medic armband.
- If you are shot a second time and a special medic is near you, they can heal you a third time.
- The special medic gives you one extra chance to continue playing, even if you’ve already been hit twice.
- If you are hit a fourth time, you must return to spawn!
Other Important Rules
- Close Ares boxes after use to protect them from weather.
- Return all items to the main spawn after the game.
- Stay within the map boundaries shown in the app.
- Respect civilians and other vehicles on roads — stop fighting if civilians are nearby.
- Do not touch the boxes unless the mission says so! Do not touch the opposing team’s props!
These are the most important summarized rules. Always be aware of your surroundings and follow instructions carefully.
Have fun and play fair. Take your hits and treat each other with respect!
Main Missions:
Bomb (High Point)
A team’s objective is to take the bomb (which is visible in real time for everyone) to different locations on the map. There are a total of four different places where the bomb can be planted. Once there, the team should arm the bomb and defend it until it detonates. If you succeed, take the bomb to the next location of your choice and arm it again. This gives big points! You should place the bomb, or as close as possible, in the triangle-shaped turquoise points on the map.
Note: Once you have armed and detonated the bomb at a location, you cannot use the same location again. Move on to the next! Return the box after you are done with it. Never leave the box alone in the forest, regardless of which team you belong to.
2. Prevent
Prevent the opponent from taking the bomb to the different locations!
3. Factory > Supply Depot (High Point)
Mission: Each team receives one to two RFID tags at the start. Your task is to find the Factory box and scan the tags to load points. The points should then be transferred to the Supply Depot. Repeat the process. Find the boxes in the app. Big points for each successful scan. Note that you can find more tags in the safes located in the area.
4. Strongholds ATS (Very High Point) Heavy Armor
Mission: Locate the enemy’s stronghold (a bunker icon in the app) and shoot it out. The box is heavily armored and causes a significant point loss for the enemy when destroyed. The blue team should shoot out the red box, while the red team should shoot out the blue box. There are a total of 4 strongholds on the field. Two for each team.
Recovery: The boxes recover over time if no one is shooting at them. If a box is destroyed, it respawns after 20 minutes and can be shot again. The boxes are positioned closer to the enemy’s main spawn. But can be moved by ARR at any time.
5. VIP (Medium to High Point)
Mission: Find the enemy VIP, marked with a face icon in the app. Your goal is to make him switch the color of his box so the points go to your team. If the VIP asks you to take him to a specific location, do so for big points. After a while, he may leave without explanation. Don’t forget to ask him for points or other valuable items you can scan!
6. Flippy Box (Light Armor)
A green ATS. Shoot it until the LEDs light up in your team color. Then it starts ticking points for your team. If you’re red, shoot it to red if it is blue and vice versa.
7. Dominate Ares ATBs
Mission: Many ATBs are scattered across the field. To dominate a box, press the correct buttons to change the box’s color to your team color. You will see who owns which box both on the box and in the app. Then it starts ticking points in real time for your team. Don’t forget to enter Super Codes for lots of points. The codes work once per device.
8. Circle Box
Objective: Hold the button on the box to neutralize and capture the area.
Movement restriction: You may only move the box within the marked large circle.
Holding the box: Hold the box as long as possible to maintain control.
Mandatory movement:
Every 4–6 minutes the box will emit a beep or sound signal. When this happens:
→ You must move at least two grid positions on the map.
→ You may not return to the same grid position afterward.
→ Always respect the signal!
If you are hit:
Give the box to a teammate or opponent. NEVER leave the box alone in the forest!
When the game ends (and at lunch):
→ The last person holding the box returns it to ARR.
9. Safes/QR CODES
There are two safes on the field. Inside these are codes and super codes for the boxes and other items. Only take envelopes in your team color, then close the safe and inform the rest of your team what you found. The safes are approximately marked in the app. Look for the correct icon. Scan all QR codes you find. More missions will be rolled out in the app!
General Tips
Communicate well with your team and act quickly.
Use the app frequently to keep track of missions and objects, as well as teammates and current scores. Remember that you can see which team owns which boxes in real time, if ATSs are active or not, if they reactivate, and so on.
New missions appear during the game, both via the app or in the form of envelopes.
PS: Do not touch the opponent’s envelopes. Only touch envelopes in your team color! Do not touch any Ares Alpha boxes of any kind unless the mission says otherwise.
